Teaching, Preaching or Practicing?

The Prime Minister of India launched his dream of Suraksha Bharat. How nice it would be if every driver wears seat belt or helmet, not talk on mobile phone, stops at the red traffic signal, gives way to pedestrians and at the zebra crossing to the school children…how safe our roads will become...Suraksha Bharat.

Every time we discuss, we say we don’t have a specific legislation or we need to enact some new law. We do have the Motor Vehicles law. Are we following it? Millions are getting injured, lakhs die in road accidents, billions of rupees worth properties destroyed in these accidents; over and above - the family anguish, the desperation and the loss of time.

Do we have the solution in Suraksha Bharat? We follow the law in letter and violate in spirit. We have to wear a helmet. The bike rider wears helmet without buckling it…loosely placing it over the head. The pillion rider never cares to wear helmet at all. The car driver on spotting a policeman, pulls across the seatbelt. Without the policeman on the road the same driver will jump red traffic signal. Who are we cheating? You can cheat me, cheat the world and cheat even the god… but when you cheat yourself, the very existence is diminished.

Suraksha Bharat- is beyond teaching & preaching - it is practice... a way of life. It is practicing safety. Accident happens only once. We have not seen anybody dying twice or losing the same limb twice! But we did see people having accidents and perishing. It’s the time to practice…but who practices? How to tell people to practice? How to aid the commendable efforts of the Indian government on practice of safety? How to make the dream of Safe India come true?

We have thought about something new, unique and something beyond ordinary imagination. It has discovered a new, unique and patented way of asking people to practice safety. A new and hitherto unexplored way. An exciting way. We discovered an innovative method of practicing safety where people to voluntarily commit themselves to practice positive safety. We don’t teach, preach or give a message on the practice of safety.

We aim at making people voluntarily and positively commit themselves to practice safety. A small effort in aiding the dream of our successive governments and the society. A footnote to footnote written here that pursues to make the dream of Suraksha Bharat a reality.

Salvage To Safety Lesson

Little information available on salvage. World renowned insurance institutes - the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) of UK, the CPCU of US, The Insurance Institute of India (III) - none have courses on salvage. Couple of institutes in US offer distance learning program on salvage. Reading the program content informs us that they are talking of existing industry practices on salvage, no more.
